I unfortunately had to stay in a shelter in Omaha and i was led too Stephens center. The people were extremely caring..Ms. Maggie, love her to death. (I think that's her name) is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. Everyone treated me with dignity and respect. But overall aside from it being a shelter it was cool.

Pros: shelter, food, a bed or a mat if the beds are full, somewhat secure (there's someone at the door during the day, place is locked up tight at night). Some of the staff is extremely caring & helpful. Cons: Some of the staff is not caring or helpful. It's cramped, and there are rules about laying down/sleeping during the day, regardless of physical or mental health issues. Potential pros or cons: meds are locked up, good if you're trying not to abuse them, bad if you have as-needed medication.
